The PNRC hosts 2 meetings a year, in the spring and fall. Meetings are an opportunity for members to present newly approved study ideas, provide updates on existing studies and share results of completed studies. Additionally, working groups gather during the meeting to present or brainstorm new study ideas. Working group themes include Glomerular disease, Hypertension, CKD/Dialysis, Tubular disorders, Transplant, Psychosocial and Coordinator. Working group study ideas are presented later in the PNRC meeting by a co-chair from each group, and further developed following the meetings for submission as new studies to the protocol review committee and subsequent presentation at the following PNRC meeting.
The PNRC recognizes the tremendous value of research coordinators and have committed to supporting ongoing training efforts for coordinators. Hence, the Coordinator Committee conducts a coordinator training session every fall.
Collaboration is essential for PNRC studies, and thus building relationships during break times, meals and social hours are valuable elements of every meeting.
